Home remedies for migraine pain relief is perhaps the number one search request. Headaches are the main complaint that sends someone to the doctor. If you suffer from migraines you know first hand that migraines are debilitating and very painful.

The last thing you want is any type of increase in blood pressure. One remedy that seems to be effective is to use pure and undiluted lavender oil behind your ears or on each temple. You have to use pure lavender as the ones in fragrances or oils will not work. Then put a couple drops of the lavender on your pillow as well.

Magnesium is a mineral found in foods such as green leafy vegetables, nuts and seeds. Studies have shown that people who have a shortage of magnesium in the brain tend to get more migraines. So be sure to munch on a little magnesium. Of course many migraine sufferers say that sleep is the only thing that helps get rid of the pain. Munch some magnesium and take a nap.
