Ilosone review - What other drugs could interact with this medication?
Taking erythromycin and high doses of theophylline at the same time may be associated with increased blood theophylline levels and possible overdose of theophylline. If you are taking theophylline, speak with your doctor or pharmacist. Depending on your specific circumstances, your doctor may want you to:
* stop taking one of the medications,
* change one of the medications to another,
* change how you are taking one or both of the medications, or
* leave everything as is.
And interaction between the two medications does not automatically mean that the two are incompatible. In some cases to drugs are used to complement each other in messes up to your doctor to decide if this is needed for your situation.
Be sure to describe to your doctor any and all medications you may be taking as well as any herbal supplements that you may be using. This also includes known stimulants such as coffee, caffeine, over-the-counter medications, cold remedies,nicotine, or any other possible sources of drugs.
